B6355 - PRINCIPLES OF WIND AND OCEAN ENERGY CONVERSION

Academic Year 2025/2026

Learning outcomes

The students of this course will learn the principles of energy conversion from the sea, specifically waves, tidal range (tidal rise and fall), tidal and ocean currents, ocean currents, ocean thermal energy conversion, salinity gradients and from offshore wind. They will be able to perform assessment on the energy production and concept design of wave energy converters.
