Learning outcomes

The course aims to equip students with practical and theoretical skills about self knowledge, and about relations to others, including a respectful attitude towards people with different sexual orientations and sexual practices. Specific learning outcomes include: knowledge of the basic theoretical and practical skills and knowledge necessary to address the different aspects of human sexuality.

Course contents

The course proposes, through theories, stories and experiences, a reflection on sexual and affective education, with particular reference to adolescents. A focus will be provided on gender education too.

The module will focus on the acquisition of skills necessary to train a reflective professional, who will be aware of their cognitive, emotional and communicative-relational processes to address the different aspects of human sexuality.

The course will be provided in a pedagogical perspective, aimed at focusing on the educational aspects related to care and communication related to the issues of affectivity and sexuality.

Slides and study materials will be provided during the lessons.

Teaching methods

Classes will mix theoretical presentations, readings, watching videos (movies and documentary). Discussion and dialogue with students will be constantly promoted.

Assessment methods

The assessment will consist of a written test.

The test consists of 31 multiple-choice or true/false questions. Only one of the provided answer options is correct.

Each correct answer is awarded 1 point. To pass the test, a minimum of 18 points must be obtained. Honors will be granted for answering all 31 questions correctly.

If no answer is given or the answer is incorrect, 0 points are assigned.

The time allocated to complete the test is 25 minutes.

The test will take place on the EOL platform.

The request for adaptation must be submitted in advance (15 days before the exam date) to the lecturer, who will assess the appropriateness of the adjustments, considering the teaching objectives.
