Learning outcomes

At the end of the internship, the student has successfully attended the service assigned to him and therefore possesses a preparation that allows him to recognize, deal with and solve simple problems relating to radiodiagnostics of the oral district

Course contents

1) The centering devices: choice, assembly and use of the centering device for anterior, posterior and intraoral bite-wing radiographs;
2) Positioning of the Radiograph in the centering device according to the different clinical needs;
3) Execution of the analogue and digital intraoral examination;
4) Manual development of analogue intraoral radiographs in the darkroom;
5) Acquisition and processing of digital intraoral radiographs;
6) Description and simulation of the acquisition process using the Orthopantomograph of the diagnostic images with latero-lateral and antero-posterior angulation;
7) Description and simulation of the acquisition process of the diagnostic images using the dental CT scan: lower and upper arch, paranasal sinuses, facial skull.
