Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, students will:

- Have consolidated their English to approximately B2 level, with expanded vocabulary drawn from English-language children’s literature written by native speakers.
- Be able to use a range of teaching techniques like storytelling, drama, music, art, and movement to make language learning engaging and motivating.
- Understand classroom management challenges and practical solutions, and apply current language-learning theories in the classroom.
- Select and use appropriate teaching methods and tools for specific learning goals which include lecture, discussion, simulation, brainstorming, cooperative projects, workshops, peer support, group work, and educational technology.
- Independently evaluate and choose suitable textbooks and digital resources.
- Design and manage testing materials, and, where appropriate, connect the results of these assessments to students’ personal language and cultural portfolios.
