Course contents

Workshop on Designing Performative Events in Public Space and Landscape
(curated by the cultural association DANZA URBANA ETS)

The workshop aims to provide the necessary tools for conceiving, designing, and organizing performative events in non-theatrical spaces and contexts. It begins with a theoretical introduction on the relationship between public space, landscape, and performance, followed by: context analysis, definition of an artistic program and financial plan; production planning; and development of a tailored promotion and communication strategy. These skills will be acquired and tested through fieldwork, culminating in the creation of an individual or collective curatorial proposal for performative events in the urban area of Bologna.
