In 1997 Carosi founded and has since been the director of the Danza Urbana Festival, the first Italian festival dedicated to dance in non-theatrical spaces. He curates Dancescapes, a project promoting choreographic research in relation to the public space and landscape, and is co-artistic director of TIR Danza. He has promoted events, projects and networks on dance in urban landscapes and young dance-makers in Italy and abroad; such as H(abita)t - Network of spaces for dance, Anticorpi - Network of Festivals and Creative Residences in Emilia-Romagna, Crisol - creative processes, CQD - Ciudades Que Danzan.
He has been invited speaker and lecturer, and has given workshops at the PHD course of the Azrieli School of Architecture & Urbanism of Carleton University of Ottawa, at the University of Bologna, at the IULM University and at Roma Tre University.
