Learning outcomes
At the end of the module the student has the ability to apply knowledge and understanding regarding occupational therapy. Can identify the limitations of skills and participation in social life through the main systems of measuring autonomy. Can plan and implement interventions to improve the autonomy allowed by the residual potential in people with disabilities.
Course contents
Home automation, architectural barriers, adaptations to the home environment, legislation to support disability, recommended ramps 5% max 8% for unaided passage.Elevator, lift, stairlift. (CAAD, CRA, Acer network, Regional Law 29/1997, Law 13/1989, Ministerial Decree 236/1989) Provision of assistive devices. Historical notes, introduction, and theoretical principles of Occupational Therapy. The role of the Occupational Therapist: professional profile. Orthopedic Technician and other healthcare and non-healthcare professionals, Aids Technician. Accreditation notes. Law 132/68. Notes on completing referrals, co-payment exemption. Disability Law 118/1971, Law 104, Care allowance, Accompaniment. Personal assessment: concepts of function, autonomy, independence, empowerment. In consideration of the type of activity and the teaching methods adopted, the attendance of this training activity requires the prior participation of all students in Modules 1 and 2 of safety training in the places of study, [https://elearning-sicurezza.unibo.it/] in e-learning mode.
Assessment methods
The exam consists of a written test lasting approximately 60 minutes and an oral exam. Upon passing the written test, the grade can be confirmed without taking the oral exam or improved by taking the oral exam. Oral assessments to improve the result can be arranged only after passing the written exam.
