Learning outcomes
At the end of the module the student has the ability to apply knowledge and understanding regarding: pathologies of the musculoskeletal system susceptible to physio-kinesitherapy treatment, identification of the subject's preventive and rehabilitative needs through the evaluation of clinical data and individual characteristics, methods appropriate therapies in the orthopedic field, design, planning and execution of the physiotherapy intervention.
Course contents
PRINCIPLES OF FUNCTIONAL ASSESSMENT IN ORTHOPEDIC PHYSIOTHERAPY:
anamnesis, data collection, observation, inspection, palpation, pain assessment, assessment of joint range of motion, assessment of muscle strength, assessment of sensitivity (if necessary), specific tests for each district.
Identification of therapeutic objectives and PHYSIOTHERAPY STRATEGIES indicated for achieving the objectives
PHYSIOTHERAPY TREATMENT AND SPECIFIC ASSESSMENT in the main orthopedic pathologies of physiotherapeutic interest of the upper and lower limb: proximal humeral fractures, shoulder prosthesis, cuff injuries, calcific tendinopathy, shoulder instability, elbow pathologies, wrist and hand operations; femur fractures and hip replacements, knee replacements, ACL, meniscal injuries, ankle and foot injuries
N.B. In consideration of the types of activities and teaching methods adopted, attendance of this training activity requires all students to carry out modules 1 and 2 in e-learning mode and participate in the third specific training module on safety and health in places of study/internship.

Assessment methods
Oral exam. The assessment will also take into account clinical reasoning skills in applying acquired knowledge. Furthermore, attention will be paid to the appropriate use of medical-scientific terminology and active participation during lectures.
The purpose of the oral exam is to assess the student's ability to apply their knowledge and make the necessary logical-deductive connections. Final grade: Knowledge of a very limited number of topics covered in the course and analytical skills that emerge only with the instructor's assistance, generally correct language → 18-19; Knowledge of a limited number of topics covered in the course and independent analytical skills only on purely executive issues, correct language → 20-24; Knowledge of a large number of topics covered in the course, ability to make independent critical analysis choices, mastery of specific terminology → 25-29;
