Learning outcomes

This course will focus on the most important neurologic and psychiatric pathologies of childhood and adolescence. Students will strengthen their understanding and knowledge of the clinical pictures, diagnosis and treatments of the examined disorders.

Course contents

Psychomotor development, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and febrile convulsions, intellectual disability, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, tic, autism spectrum disorder, feeding and eating disorders.

The teaching material presented during the lessons will be made available to the students on Platform Virtual Learning Environment. Published articles related to the topics covered may also be included.

Teaching methods

Lectures with Q&A sessions, for a total of 24 contact hours.

Assessment methods

Students must attend at least 70% of the course contact hours in order to take the final oral exam.

Generally, two or three questions will be asked, one of which will be of your choice.
