Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student:

possesses basic knowledge of the diagnostic approach to patients with surgical conditions characterized by emergency or urgency;

is able to determine the surgical indication, the timing of surgical treatment, and is familiar with the different surgical techniques to be applied;

understands the pathophysiological changes related to the surgical procedure in relation to immediate therapy and follow-up.
