Learning outcomes
Students will be able to recognize movement disorders and neurological diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, understanding their physiopathology, clinical features, ethiology and treatment.
Course contents
The course consists of frontal lessons including video presentations on the main movement disorders that occur in neurological diseases.
After a brief review of anatomy and physiology, the different neurological diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system will be discussed.

Required: slides showed during the course (a PDF will be available to students) and relevant scientific articles showed during the course.

Teaching methods
Frontal lessons and clinical cases discussion.
Assessment methods
Learning assessment is conducted through an oral exam, during which students must demonstrate their understanding of the basic concepts for identifying various movement disorders.
Students will be assessed on their ability to apply their knowledge, using technically appropriate language, and making the necessary logical-deductive connections.
Final grade:
Preparation on a very limited number of topics covered in the course and analytical skills that emerge only with the teacher's assistance, using generally correct language → 18-19;
Preparation on a limited number of topics covered in the course and independent analysis skills only on purely executive issues, using correct language → 20-24;
Preparation on a large number of topics covered in the course, ability to make independent critical analysis choices, using specific terminology → 25-29;
Substantially exhaustive preparation on the topics covered in the course, ability to make independent choices of critical analysis and connection, full use of specific terminology and argumentantion skills → 30-30L.

The request for adaptation must be submitted in advance (15 days before the exam date) to the lecturer, who will assess the appropriateness of the adjustments, taking into account the teaching objectives.
Teaching tools
Lectures. Clinical case presentations on the most common movement disorders.
Slides presented during the course will be available to students within one week after the end of the class.
Teacher will be available, by appointment, for individual clarifications and further discussion throughout the course.
