Research articles and other documents or bibliographical references for further study or of interest will be made available by the teacher during the course The chapters of interest in the indicated texts will be indicated by the teacher during the lessons

Teaching methods

Acquisition of theoretical contents through: individual study structured and guided by online materials [on virtual] and classroom teaching through interactive lessons with reasoning on the work done at home on the main theoretical contents, exercises, guided classroom work and/or group work with review and integration in plenary Virtual insertion for all students of teaching material before lessons: lesson slides, documents (open access articles, examples of protocols), schemes for mandated exercises (on PICO processing, and/or background, review protocol and/or protocol descriptive study/case study) Possibility of small group meetings for students with the need for integration in presence/on Teams (at the request of students)

Assessment methods

The assessment includes: - the written preparation of a research protocol according to a predefined scheme shared in class and downloadable under the heading "Guidelines for the paper" in the online resources on Virtuale. The submission of the paper must be sent via email to the instructor no later than 30 days from the scheduled exam date. The evaluation will be communicated on AlmaEsami by the instructor. A positive evaluation of the paper allows access to the written test which consists of a test with 15 closed-ended questions. The criteria for evaluating the paper are as follows: - completeness of the points indicated in the Guidelines for the paper; - ability to synthesize; - use of appropriate language, coherence of the research design concerning the question; - ability to analyze scientific literature; - originality of the topic addressed.

The paper will be evaluated for a maximum of 15 points, and the test is considered sufficient if the score is equal to or greater than 9 points. The written test will be evaluated for a maximum of 15 points (1 point for each correct answer), and it is considered sufficient if the score is equal to or greater than 9 points. The results of the two tests will be added together, resulting in a final evaluation out of 30/30. Honors will be awarded if the paper meets all the criteria indicated in the document and stands out for its originality.
