Learning outcomes

The aim of the Course is to provide students with the necessary tools to consciously manage the communicative-relational aspects of their future medical profession, fostering the student's attention to the emotional aspects of the patient relationship.

Specifically, the learning objectives will be:

a) Knowledge and understanding: The student must demonstrate knowledge of the main communication methods and the fundamental structure and functions of the clinical interview.

b) Applied knowledge and understanding: The student must be able to set up a clinical interview and use techniques for gathering information.

c) Making judgements: The student must demonstrate the ability to integrate knowledge and manage the complexity of situations involving poor compliance or breaking bad news (diagnosis communication).

d) Communication skills: The student must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with a hospitalized patient.

e) Ability to learn: The student must develop the skills necessary to continue their training on these topics once the course is completed.
