Learning outcomes
At the end of the module the student possesses knowledge relating to epidemiological aspects, methodologies and intervention models for health promotion, health education for the individual and the community.

- From the concept of care to the concept of health education and promotion: Culture, health, and well-being
- Health Literacy
- Health as a dynamic, individual, multidimensional, and social process within current demographic, social, legislative, and health policy contexts
- Access to social and health services and the network of local services
- Definition of disability in light of the new Ministerial Decree 62/2024
- Health education, prevention, screening, and vaccines
- Family and community nurses and prison nurses: Chronicity, frailty, and disability, and the role of the caregiver:
- Prevention of caregiver burden and related assessment scales for recognition

Teaching methods
Frontal lessons and use of the virtual platform for sharing teaching materials and attachments provided by the teacher
The viewing of videos or reading of scientific passages or articles will be recommended on a weekly basis, these will allow moments of reflection and discussion on the part of the students
Assessment methods
Admission to the exam is subject to the attendance by the student of at least 66% of the total lessons.
Oral exam test with open questions.
Group activities will take place during the lessons which could be topics for oral discussion.
Preventive Nursing belongs to the CI of Community Nursing Sciences, the student has the possibility to take the single course starting from the July 2026 session and will remain valid until the February 2027 session included.
At the end of the February 2027 exam window, if the integrated course has not been completed and recorded, the individual tests taken will be forfeited.
