Learning outcomes
At the end of the internship, the student wil get knowledge and skills that allow him to apply the physiotherapy care in the nursing process, taking over the principal life signs, applying the principles of hygiene and safety. He collaborates in assistance operations, controlling and modifying postures and managing transfers of the patients, during self-care and meal time. He is able to analyze, judge and describe, in a kinesiologic point of view, the posture and movements of healthy adult and apply articular and musclular testing on all body areas. He knows how to realize interventions of physiotherapy, massage therapy and physiotherapy. He knows how to set up a professional relationship with patients and healthcare professionals.
Course contents
Application of hygiene and security principles to prevent the onset of infections, as learned during the lessons.
Performing of posture changes (in both directions): supine / seated, bed / chair or bed / wheelchair, wheelchair / W.C.
Recognition of the principal life signs (blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate) as learned during the clinical nursing classes.
Finding of any pathological signs (pallor, sweating, tachycardia, dyspnea) listed during nursing classes on every inpatients.
Assistance in dressing and in feeding for disbaled inpatients according to the teachings of the tutor during the first days of training.

Teaching methods
The internship is presented in a briefing where are shared the structures, the didactic objective and the assessed methods
The clinical practice is attended with a tutorial teaching.
At the end of the internship is planned a debriefing to share the experiences of the students
Assessment methods
Each internship provide an assessment made by the tutors through a contract which contains every single didactic objective.
Achievement of the specific objectives set out in each training contract during the clinical internship, of the deliverables produced, and suitability for the core values.
Teaching tools
Training contract, Internship Regulations, simulations, team meetings, internship briefings and debriefings.
In consideration of the types of activities and teaching methods adopted, the attendance of this training activity requires all students to carry out modules 1 and 2 in e-learning mode and participation in the third module of specific training on safety and health in the places of study / internship.
