Learning outcomes
The student, at the end of the module, thanks to the knowledge of the fundamental principles of chemistry and organic molecules of biological interest, is able to evaluate biological and biochemical parameters in biological samples and in vivo, also in relation to pathophysiological states, at different levels of structural organization, from single molecules to cells, tissues, organs, up to the whole organism.
Course contents

Assessment methods
The evaluation of the knowledge acquired by the students is based on the administration of a single questionnaire composed of 60 questions for the Integrated Course of Pathological Sciences, with multiple choice (4 choices) and a correct answer. questions will be distributed as follows: 30 questions regarding the teaching of General Pathology and Immunology and 10 questions for each of the remaining courses (clinical biochemistry, clinical pathology and General Pharmacology).
The written test will be conducted in the following manner:
The candidate may do the paper by choosing from the following 3 possibilities:
1) Module A 30 questions containing the syllabus General Pathology. Time 25 minutes. Minimum score to pass the test is 18/30 correct questions (Final mark 18/30)
2) Module B 30 questions containing 10 questions of General Pharmacology, 10 questions of Clinical Pathology, 10 questions of Clinical Biochemistry. Running time 25 minutes. Minimum mark for passing the test is 18/30 correct questions (Final mark 18/30)
The final mark for candidates choosing mode 1 or 2 will be the average of the marks obtained. Examinations must be taken within two consecutive sessions.
3) Module A+B complete paper of 60 questions containing all modules (General Pathology, General Pharmacology, Clinical Pathology, Clinical Biochemistry. Running time 50 minutes. Minimum score to pass the test is 36/60 correct questions (Final mark 18/30)
The candidate who chooses option 3 (Module A+B) will have an overall mark.
Students with learning disorders and\or temporary or permanent disabilities: please, contact the office responsible (https://site.unibo.it/studenti-con-disabilita-e-dsa/en/for-students ) as soon as possible so that they can propose acceptable adjustments. The request for adaptation must be submitted in advance (15 days before the exam date) to the lecturer, who will assess the appropriateness of the adjustments, taking into account the teaching objectives.
