Learning outcomes

During the course, students acquire knowledge about physiology, physiopathology, clinical pictures, diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases 

Course contents

- respiratory system anatomy and pathophysiology

- respiratory failure (mechanisms and classification)

- pulmonary function tests

- obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis)

- pneumonia (community-acquired, hospital-acquired) 

- Interstitial lung diseases (idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, secondary forms, sarcoidosis)

- pleural effusions

- lung cancer

- obstructive sleep apnea syndrome
