Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student should be able to recognize and manage patients with dental prostheses from a hygienic point of view. In particular, the student will be able to: - recognize the different types of dental prostheses - recognize and correctly manage the dental materials relating to prosthetic devices - know the indications for different prosthetic treatments - know the indications and contraindications of prosthetic devices in relation to dental hygiene - knowing the oral hygiene methods in patients wearing fixed and removable dentures - carrying out the hygienic treatment in patients wearing dental prostheses - being able to motivate the patient wearing dentures about oral hygiene and its maintenance .

Teaching methods
Lectures in a classroom equipped with multimedia equipment, with the main use of slides in PowerPoint format and practical exercises
Assessment methods
Written (18/32 points necessary to pass the test) and oral exam
Gradation of the final grade:
→ 18-19: Preparation on a very limited number of topics covered in the course and analytical skills that emerge only with the help of the teacher, expression in generally correct language;
→ 20-24: Preparation on a limited number of topics covered in the course and ability to analyze autonomously only on purely executive issues, expression in correct language;
→ 25-29: Preparation on a large number of topics covered in the course, ability to make autonomous choices of critical analysis, mastery of specific terminology;
→ 30-30L: Substantially exhaustive preparation on the topics covered in the course, ability to make autonomous choices of critical analysis and connection, full mastery of specific terminology and ability to argue and self-reflection.
The final grade will then be arithmetic average among the parts of the integrated course SURGICAL DENTISTRY (C.I.)
