Learning outcomes
The course is about medieval languages and literatures belonging to the Iberian Romance domain (Galician-Portuguese, Castilian, Catalan). It is aimed at deepening linguistic skills (history of the language and historical grammar) and at acquiring more competence in the principles of ecdotics (history of tradition and textual criticism). Both the linguistic and textual aspects are framed within the history of literature. As for the skills to be acquired, the course intends to develop methods in technical analysis (metrical, stylistic, rhetorical, etc.) of texts.

2. The Roman de la Rose and the Medieval romance.
