Learning outcomes

During the Course students will analyse the role of fashion as a cultural phenomenon and the fashion exhibition as a privileged place where new forms of historicisation and visualisation of the contemporary are expressed and experimented with. Staging and representation will be analysed in various interrelated fields: from the museum to the university, from the academy to the commercial spaces of the textile and fashion industry.

Course contents

History of Fashion Curation; Analysis of major fashion exhibitions; New models of representing fashion (store, digital, museum, catwalk).

SPECIAL LECTURES BY INTERNATIONAL CURATORS WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE LATEST TRENDS IN INTERNATIONAL FASHION CURATION.
