Learning outcomes

How to identify the role of technology, with particular focus on photography, in the context of contemporary art.


How to innovate the teaching of contemporary art history in schools through multidisciplinary approaches and according to innovative perspectives of study and research.

Course contents

The contents of the course, will focus on the identity and role of photography in contemporary art. In particular, the following dimensions of photographic theory and practice will be explored in depth during the lectures:

Teaching methods

Frontal lecture, discussions, rehearsal of elaboration of topics covered, methodological comparisons

Lectures will be both face-to-face and seminar-based, especially on the documents that will be presented during the course
