Course contents

Bone is a complex tissue that is primarily committed to body movement but is also involved in a number of additional functions that affect the whole organism. Bone pathophysiology is finely modulated so that its structure is continuously remodeled and may adapt to the functional needs of motion activities. At the same time, the pathophysiology of the whole organism affects the structure and function of bone, and the  wellness of the organism and that of the bone tissue are closely connected.

The course will present an overview on the most recent knowledge of the morphology and function of bone, the methods to assess bone wellness, and the techniques to prevent or treat the most reevant bone diseases.

Attendance is strongly recommended.
