Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student knows the various types of orthoses, braces and prostheses used in the different anatomical locations, also taking into account the type of operation performed to carry out the reconstruction of the different joints affected by neoplasia.

Course contents

General principles of oncological orthopedic surgery.
Functional re-education and orthotics after resection of musculoskeletal tumors in different anatomical locations.
Study of reconstructive techniques after resection of bone tumors.
Amputations in the lower limb (transfemoral and transtibial) and the different types of stump prosthetics.
