Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student: - knows the main molecular mechanisms and the pharmacodynamic and therapeutic profile of drugs active on the central nervous system, on renal and cardiovascular functions, on respiratory and gastro-intestinal functions, on inflammation and on the immune system, on blood cells and on coagulation and aggregation of platelets, minerals and vitamins; - knows the drugs that influence endocrine functions; - is able to evaluate the efficacy and safety of drugs and their ability to prevent and treat certain diseases or alleviate their symptoms; - knows the main adverse and collateral effects that may limit their use; - is able to recognize the interactions between drugs; - apply the knowledge learned for the conduct of the profession, for the proper storage and dispensation of drugs, to inform and educate on the use of medicines; - possesses the knowledge that allows him to report adverse drug reactions; - apply the knowledge learned for the conduct of the profession, for the proper storage and dispensation of medicines, to inform and educate on the use of medicines and to monitor the management of the appropriateness in the use of medicines and the continuity of adherence to drug therapy in chronic therapies.

Assessment methods
The exam consists in a written test with thirty multiple choice questions and three open questions aimed at assessing the student's understanding and knowledge of the topics set out during the course.
The open questions will be selected from a known list of open questions that student will find in https://virtuale.unibo.it/ . The written test will be performed at https://eol.unibo.it/. The student will have 30 and 60 minutes to answer the multiple choice and open questions, respectively.
The final mark is the sum of the score obtained for each question. The student can get a score of 0.5 for each correct answer to multiple choice questions and a maximum score of 5 for each answer to open question.Teaching tools
