Learning outcomes

Applied knowledge and comprehension skills related to the diagnosis and treatment of adult and child dentofacial deformities, including congenital malformations (labio-alveolus-palate cleft, second branchial arch syndromes, etc.), with particular reference to surgical strategies and the use of the latest treatment planning and execution techniques. Students will also be able to further develop learning and communication skills on the specific topic.

Course contents

Application of 3D Technologies to the diagnostic and therapeutic process of:
- developmental dentofacial dysmorphoses
- congenital malformations
- acquired malformations (traumatic, post-surgical, etc...)

Lectures aided by digital media, films, simulators, anatomical models

Assessment methods

The student who demonstrates, during the course, an exhaustive understanding of the topics covered, ability to make autonomous choices of critical analysis and linking, mastery of specific terminology and argumentation skills will be judged to have passed the course. No examination is required.

Attendance at least 75% of the lectures is required to pass the course.
