Learning outcomes

At the end of the course students:

- knows the general categories-teaching considered in the different fields of extracurricular cultural and social educatio

- knows and understands the main didactics’ models used in different fields of social and cultural education

- are able to interpret the specificity of different contests and to elaborate didactics’ strategy to solve problems.

- are able to reflect on hers/his own competences as educator and modify hers/his behaviour and role in different social and cultural contests.

- knows the main working group techniques and working group relations and functioning.

- are able to work in groups discussing, elaborating projects and elaborate interpretation tools for cases.

- are competent to choose adequate behavioural strategies in order to promote collaboration among different subjects (individuals or groups or institutions), identifying common points and synergies.

Course contents

The course is dedicated to discuss the epistemologic foundation of learning and its placement in pedagogy, suppling a panoramic of different interpretation from foundative fathers to authors who are the hallmark of contemporary cultural and historical context. Furthermore they will be discussed other topics related to timing, spaces and social aspects of educative experience; the basic matters related to learning planning (the concept of target, the learning models of individualization and of personalization and their tools).
The course goes into especially learning technologies useful for educators in different professional contextes.

- Some definitions: didactics as all methodologies for teaching; didactics as the entirety of all the methodologies adopted for educational interventions carried out in the field of social work

- The Education Categories: the learner, the teacher, the contents, the languages and the contexts.

- Didactic methods and tools forthe empowement

- The Education as mediation: the role of Languages, Relations, Strategies, Materials

- Team work methodologies

- Designing educational projects according to participatory processes

Teaching methods

The course proposes a participatory and active teaching mode,
through methodologies that involve male and female students through discussions, enjoyment of video materials, and activation of cooperative group work. The course adheres to the experimentation of innovative teaching proposed by the University, providing different forms of active participation including online (such as flipped learning activated through the space on  Virtual; delivery of textual, multimedia, audiovisual materials,  presentation of individual and group activities; Google Docs or  Microsoft Office 365 that enable synchronous or
asynchronously on group projects, documents, presentations or activities for brainstorming; as well as the use of video game environments and social media). In addition, to facilitate learning processes in their  link with the skills and understandings of the different contexts of education, meeting moments will be proposed with witnesses privileged and experts operating in the territories, capable of stimulating the search for knowledge "beyond the classroom" through case studies and good practices. To this end, meetings will also be built in a perspective transversal between disciplines, involving colleagues/and in moments
joint training.

Assessment methods

The exam will consist of an oral and individual examination (with a vote expressed in thirtieths).

Criteria to assess oral exam will be:

- clarity in the presentation of the contents;
- ability to deepen and link the main issues;

- appropriateness in the use of specific terminology;
- critical analysis of the repercussions of the topics studied within educational

Teaching tools

During the lectures, technological devices and material for teamwork will be used. The lectures will be integrated with documentaries and films and deepening classes.
