Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, students are able to master the basic knowledge of sociology of health and to develop theoretical skills about the medicalizing aspects of our contemporary society, the different labels of disease (Disease, Illness, Sickness), the influence that socio-economic variables has on health conditions and some interpretative models of the most recent research perspectives (digital health, graphic medicine, etc.).
