Learning outcomes

At the end of the module the student develops diagnostic reasoning skills, clinical reasoning, critical thinking and develops methodological skills relating to care planning with particular reference to highly complex situations. Apply the knowledge acquired relating to technical, relational and educational skills. Is able to identify critical areas on which to hypothesize nursing research projects. The activity develops in correlation with the internship path and contents.

Course contents

Knowledge and skills to be achieved

Acquire the technical, relational and methodological skills envisaged by the Professional Profile of the Nurse and related to the theoretical contents foreseen for the course year.

Through the specific objectives we intend to develop:

- methodological skills in the application of the nursing discipline's own method according to reference models used in the proposed experiences

- the reflective and critical thinking skills that connect theoretical contents and clinical experience

- awareness of the scientific motivations underlying the nursing act, including those of a technical-professional nature

- skills in team work with a particular orientation towards comparison

- relational competence towards the person and the family

across the entire training course, the aim is to develop a sensitivity and an attitude based on the values expressed by the Nurse's Code of Ethics.

As regards the GESTURES LABORATORY, the services offered are:

- Endotracheal aspiration

- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and early defibrillation

- Arterial sampling from radial artery for blood gas analysis

The RELATIONSHIP WORKSHOPS are intended to be developed in a small group in a number varying from 1 to 3 sessions

As regards the METHODOLOGICAL WORKSHOPS/CLINICAL TUTORING: they are intended to be organized in small groups and/or individually to encourage the acquisition of skills in:

- Care planning (adoption of the Gordon model and N.N.N. system/ J.Carpenito's bifocal model of clinical practice)

- Clinical reasoning

- Use E.B.N.

Assessment methods

The contents of the seminars will be assessed in terms of suitability as required by the Degree Course Regulations through a written test in quiz format with 30 multiple choice questions.

The test will be considered passed with a score of 18 out of 30.

Various types of health aids, mannequins, teaching material provided by expert laboratory leaders.
