Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students master the design, creation and interpretation of corporate Business Intelligence (BI) reports. They will understand the different design choices and technologies and the different options on how to implement a BI report. The course will also show how to include in a BI report forecasts and predictions (Business Analytics - BA).
Course contents
Important: it is higly recommended to attend the course "Principi di Business Intelligence" (https://www.unibo.it/it/didattica/insegnamenti/insegnamento/2022/463901, taught in Italian) or to study in anyway the related contents before attending this course, as this will facilitate the learning process.

Databases architecture.
Business Intelligence in MS Excel through power pivoting.
Business Intelligence in Power BI Desktop and Cloud.
DAX functions, dashboarding, reporting.
Business Analytics using Power BI and R.

Practical test at the PC on MS Excel Power Pivot / MS Power BI, plus a few theory open questions.
The course mark is numeric (from 0 to 30), numeric marks correspond to the following grades:

18-23 sufficient
24-27 good
28-30 very good
30 cum laude excellent
