Learning outcomes

Alert the emergency rescue system a) Causes and circumstances of the accident (place of the accident, number of people involved, state of the injured, etc.) b) communicate the aforementioned information clearly and precisely to the Emergency Health Care Services Identify a health emergency 1) Scene of the accident: a) gathering of information b) prediction of obvious and probable dangers 2) Assessment of the psychophysical conditions of the injured worker: a) vital functions (pulse, pressure, breath) b) state of consciousness c) hypothermia and hyperthermia 3) Basic notions of anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular and respiratory system 4) Self-treatment techniques -protection of rescue personnel Implement first aid interventions 1) Support of vital functions: a) positioning of the injured person and maneuvers for the patency of the upper airways b) artificial respiration c) external cardiac massage 2) Recognition and limits of first aid intervention: a) lipothymia, syncope, shock b) acute pulmonary edema c) asthma crisis d) acute stenocardial pain e) allergic reactions f) seizures g) post-traumatic external haemorrhages and haemorrhagic tamponade Gain general knowledge about workplace trauma 1) Notes on the anatomy of the skeleton 2) Dislocations, fractures and complications 3) Trauma and cranio-encephalic and vertebral column injuries 4) Trauma and thoracic - abdominal injuries Acquire general knowledge on specific pathologies in the workplace 1) Injuries from cold and heat 2) Injuries from electric current 3) Injuries from chemical agents 4) Intoxications 5) Tear and contused wounds 6) External haemorrhages Acquire practical intervention skills 1) Main communication techniques with the emergency system of the S.S.N. 2) Main first aid techniques in acute brain syndromes 3) Main first aid techniques in acute respiratory syndrome. 4) Main cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques 5) Main haemorrhagic tamponade techniques 6) Main techniques of lifting, moving and transporting the injured person 7) Main first aid techniques in case of accidental exposure to chemical and biological agents
