Learning outcomes
The aim of the workshop is to introduce participants to critical reading and understanding of texts (related to political and social sciences), starting from the examination of significant cases. At the end of the laboratory the student has acquired the necessary skills to synthesize, outline (also in written form), contextualise, critically analyze theoretical, empirical and methodological aspects of the text under examination (volume, essay in journal, research report, short article).
Course contents
The laboratory consists of the reading and analysis of classical texts from the history of political thought and political science. They deal with power, freedom and equality, and allow us to interpret the different political spaces throughout the history of the last few centuries. historical. From this point of view both the context and the genealogy will be explored, as well as the thematic relationship with the present and the cultural reception in general.

Teaching methods
Alternating with lessons, the participants read, present, comment and discuss the texts and topics covered by the texts.
Assessment methods
Attendance is a prerequisite for eligibility. Absences are not allowed. Participants will have to demonstrate the ability, also in written form, to synthesize, schematize, contextualize and critically analyze the theoretical, empirical and methodological aspects of the texts studied.
