Summarize the principles, applications and outcomes of oncological surgical procedures.
Course contents
The course include the following topics:
- general principles of surgery for the treatment of solid cancers
- indications and contraindications to surgery
- role of preoperative staging
- role of neoadjuvant therapy
- principles of surgical technique
- role on lymphectomy in surgical oncology
- role of minimally invasive surgery
- role of the multidisciplinary approach to the treatment and indication to surgery for cancer
