Research Fellow in Colorectal Surgery, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio, USA(2008-2009).

Post-CCT training in the UK from 2012 to 2015, as senior clinical fellow at St. Thomas' Hospital, London, Medway Maritime Hospital (Kent), University College of London Hospital.

PhD in 2019.

Currently Assistant Professor of Surgery of the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, and surgical consultant of General Surgery at the Sant'Orsola Hospital.

Fields of interest:

- laparoscopic colorectal surgery for cancer

- open and laparoscopic surgery for inflammatory bowel disease, including colectomy and pouch formation for ulcerative colitis, and bowel resection for Crohn's disease

- bariatric surgery (surgical coordinator)

- laparoscopic UppeGI surgery for gastric cancer and benign conditions (gastro-oesophageal reflux, achalasia)

-surgery for proctologic conditions and functional problems.
