Learning outcomes

The course treats with some problems of Dynamics of Machinery and Mechanical Vibration not treated in the course of Mechanics of Machinery L.

Course contents


 
1. Mechanical vibration. a )
Lumped parameter systems. Free and forced vibration of systems with one, two or many dof. Modal analysis. Modal approach . b ) Distributed parameter systems: string, rods, bars, beams, membranes. c ) Vibration testing. Measurement hardware. Piezoelectric accelerometer. Digital signal processing. Fourier transform. Frequency measurement. d ) Experimental modal analysis. e ) Elastodynamic modeling of mechanical systems.

2. Dynamics of Machinery. Kinematics and Dynamics of rigid body and multibody systems .

3. Rotor .dynamics Rotor balancing. In-field balancing. Flexible rotors. Applications .
