B8973 - ATTIVITÀ TECNICO PRATICHE DI ATTIVITÀ FISICA ADATTATA

Academic Year 2025/2026

  • Moduli: Pasqualino Maietta Latessa (Modulo 1) (Modulo 2)
  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures (Modulo 1) Traditional lectures (Modulo 2)
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Sciences and Techniques of Preventive and Adapted Physical Activities (cod. 6781)

Learning outcomes

Through technical-practical sessions, students will develop specific practical and applied competencies concerning the techniques and protocols of Adapted Physical Activity

Course contents

MANDATORY TECHNICAL-PRACTICAL ACTIVITIES (A.T.P.)

The technical-practical activities represent a fundamental part of the educational path for acquiring operational skills in the field of adapted physical activity. Through a series of guided practical sessions, students will have the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired, directly experimenting with protocols, methodologies, and tools specific to the sector.

The main objective is to develop practical and applied competencies, with particular focus on movement analysis, injury prevention and management, enhancement of motor abilities in individuals with special needs, and kinesiological intervention in various health-related contexts.

1st PRACTICAL SESSION

Falls in the elderly: assessment methods and intervention strategies

2nd PRACTICAL SESSION

Unstable surfaces as tools for training balance and neuromuscular control

3rd PRACTICAL SESSION

Gait analysis: theoretical aspects of Gait Analysis

4th PRACTICAL SESSION

The role of the kinesiologist in Adapted Physical Activity

5th PRACTICAL SESSION

Muscle and tendon injuries: classification, characteristics, and clinical aspects

6th PRACTICAL SESSION

Core training as a targeted intervention for low back pain (LBP)

7th PRACTICAL SESSION

Upper limb disorders and dysfunctions

IMPORTANT

Students are required to complete, in advance and as a mandatory prerequisite, training on safety-related topics.

Due to the nature of the activities and the teaching methods used, participation in this training requires the prior completion of Modules 1 and 2 on safety in study and internship environments, delivered in e-learning mode:

Readings/Bibliography

As these are practical activities, no mandatory textbook is required. The instructor may provide slides or supplementary materials, which will be made available during lectures or through the designated learning platforms

Teaching methods

Practical advanced sessions will take place in the gym with organized groups and mandatory attendance. During these sessions, students will use specific tools and advanced methodologies to consolidate the technical-practical skills acquired.

These practical sessions are designed to promote direct and applied learning, essential for the development of operational skills in the field of adapted physical activity.

Assessment methods

Learning will be assessed through a written assignment designed to evaluate students' mastery of the topics covered during the technical-practical activities. This test will verify both theoretical knowledge and the practical skills acquired.

In addition, some of the topics covered during the course will be included in the final examination of the Adapted Physical Activity module, thus allowing for a comprehensive and structured evaluation of the skills and competencies developed.

Active participation and mandatory attendance in the practical sessions are essential requirements for admission to the assessment tests

Teaching tools

In order to promote conscious and engaged learning, the course will include phases of active learning and competency-based education, integrated with strategies aimed at fostering student self-assessment and metacognitive development
