Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student: - has knowledge of the technical, economic and competitive variables and organizational solutions for the management of innovative projects, with particular attention to the development of new products; - has knowledge and operational skills related to specific management structures, organizational roles and management techniques.
Course contents
The course introduces the principles and methods of innovation management, EU project management and access to European funds, with a focus on pharmaceutical and biotechnological applications. The module will also address a general framework of international cooperation projects and learn a common basis for all EU programs. It will focus on the four common phases of EU project management: (i) defining the objective and scope; (ii) evaluation of innovation management; (iii) manage contractual procedures with the European Commission; (iv) organize and plan the project work; (v) monitor the development of the project from a technical and financial point of view and evaluate the results. CCase studies in the pharmaceutical biotechnology sector will be analyzed. The course includes practical exercises in support of the theoretical part.

The slides used during the lessons will be provided to the students, together with handouts and other in-depth materials that deal with the topics of the course.

Exercises on practical cases and forms of past or ongoing Call for Proposals.
Assessment methods
There is a written test at the end of the course.
The prerequisites of the course and the examination procedures are the same for students who attend and do not attend classes.
