Learning outcomes
The student - knows the basic elements of Chinese literary civilization - is able to identify them in specific literary texts - is able to autonomously develop further knowledge and cultural-literary skills of a higher level and to apply them also to other specific literary texts
Course contents
The course aims to offer a general knowledge of the masterpieces of Chinese literature, from the classics that form the basis of the millennial Chinese code of civilization, to the flagship texts of modern and contemporary literature. In this itinerary to discover the literary heritage of China, students will be confronted with different genres of writing (philosophical essay, poetry, short story, novel, play) and alongside the study of currents, biographies, historical profiles, the reading of the texts will be provided, in order to grasp their style and contemporaneity.
Therefore, reflection and dialogue on the authors and texts examined will be stimulated.
