Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to know the regulatory framework of labour law on the basis of its different sources.
Course contents
Lessons program covers the following topics:
I. Origin and development of the legislation on health
and safety at work.
1. Safety, organization, prevention: the system
and the general principles of the Legislative Decree
no. 81 of
2008.
2. Subjects, obligations and responsibilities in the italian health and safety framework.
II. Protective and Preventive Service
1. Service obligations and responsibilities
2. Case law.
III. Health Surveillance
1. Measures appropriates to the health and safety risks
IV. Prevention and Precaution
1. The European principle of precaution and The risks from "unknown technology".
2. The asbestos risk: questions of civil and criminal liability. Analysis of case law concerning liability for workers' exposure to asbestos.

Teaching methods
Lectures will take place by the explanation of the topics covered by the program, with the help of slides and in-depth discussion of the most problematictopics .
