aspects of pediatric and adult otolaryngologic diseases; he knows
the basic notions of functional and instrumental semiotics and of
methodology and therapy in otolaryngology, with particular regard
to emergency pathologies.

Readings/Bibliography
It is not necessary to purchase specialistic books. The teaching
material presented during the lessons is available online through the proper link of the
University of Bologna.
Teaching methods
During the lessons the main notions dealing with the anatomy,
physiology and pathology of otolaryngologic districts will be
presented and discussed. These clinical aspects will be
appropriately integrated by nursing management rules in order to
promote the learning of this discipline in relation to the future
employment of the students.
Assessment methods
At the end of the course the examination aims to assess the
achievement of learning objectives:
- Knowledge of the basic anatomic and physiologic notions of
otolaryngologic districts.
- Knowledge of the major otolaryngologic diseases and of the
related diagnostic pathways.
- Knowledge of the therapeutic methods and nursing management of
the major otolaryngologic pathologies.
The exam will focus on a written quiz with 10 multiple-choice
questions. The test is considered passed if the student correctly
answers at least 6 questions. The outcome of this test will then be
combined to that of the other teachings of the course.
Teaching tools
