Learning outcomes

The course focuses on the PORTFOLIO THEORY and PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT. You will be involved in a Trading Simulation and learn how to manage a portfolio of risky securities.

Course contents

ATTENTION:

The course "Investments" IS DIVIDED INTO 2 MODUELS: ONLY THE MODULE 2 (42 HOURS) IS IN ENGLISH AND TAUGHT BY PROF. ZAMBELLI.

MODULE 1 (18 HOURS) IS TAUGHT BY ANOTHER TEACHER IN ITALIAN.

TO BETTER UNDERSTAND HOW INVESTMENTS WORK, THE COURSE  WILL INVOLVE A TRADING SIMULATION AND A TRADING COMPETITION AMONG ATTENDING STUDENTS.

COURSE CONTENTS:

- MODULE 1 - 18 hours (prof.: contractor; language: Italian): BONDS AND FINANCIAL REGULATION

- MODULE 2 - 42 hours (prof: Simona Zambelli; language: English): SECURITIES AND PORTFOLIO THEORY (Risk and Return of financial Securities; Portfolio Theory; Capital Asset Pricing Model; Portfolio Management). CLASS METHODS: Theory, Exercizes, and Trading Simulation (only for attending students).
