Course contents

  • The course will take place during the first semester (from 25th September to November 2017) at the Cesena Campus of the School of Psychology and Education (address: Piazza A. Moro, 90)
  • From the child to the mother-child relationship: The contribution of developmental clinical psychology
  • The secure base  in parent-child psychotherapy: intergenerational transmission of attachment, psychopathological disorders
  • Infant research and neuroscience in therapeutic practice: birth of intersubjectivity, dyadic system model, parent-child psychopathology, attachment theory
  • Microanalytical observation and "prototypical patient": The model of Stern and the parent-child relationship
  • Mentalisation and clinical practice: among research, clinical practice and social support
  • Parent-Child Programs
  • Preventive interventions during childhood: minding the baby and home visiting

Assessment methods

Written test with closed and open questions. Closed questions, with multiple answer, are 10 and focus on general concepts about theorical-clinical steps for assessment and intervention during childhood. Each answer is evaluated on a 0-1 point score (o=wrong or missing; 1=correct). Open questions are 4 and focus on clinical issues of the manual. Each answer is evaluated on a 0-5 point score.
