Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will know the main decision-making problems, the elements of information and management system, the techniques of administrative control, the application of civil and fiscal laws of the winery. He is able to understand the main administrative documents and to intervene in the processes of management and marketing of the company wine.
Course contents
The course is divided into two modules:
Module 2: Economy of the wine sector (4 CFU, 40 hours)
Module 1: Management and Administration of Wines companies (4 CFUs, 40 hours)

1. The company system and the economic management of the wine company

3. The evaluation of the economic efficiency: the financial statements; reclassification and analysis of the balance sheet and income statement. The assets and liabilities on the balance sheet. The components of income and expenses in the income statement.
4. Global values of the company's efficiency measurement: the formation of ratio of financial statements relating to asset components and income components.

Teaching methods
In the class will be examined and discussed some case studies on the management and policy of wine sector with exercise of economic and strategical analysis
Assessment methods
The knowledge of the topics presented in class and the verification of the acquired competences foresees - on both the didactic modules that can not be distinguished during the verification - written tests.
Each of the two partial tests is evaluated by a score in thirtieths; the final grade is determined by the examination board and usually coincides with the weight average of the two partial votes. The exam is considered passed if both are the modules. The final vote will be determined by the average of the two votes obtained.
Module 2:
Written test (4 questions. Student evaluation will be based on the following: knowledge of the topics made object of the test; writing skills and correct use of the discipline’s terminology; lectures’ active attendance of the course’s lectures and development didactic activities agreed with the teacher).
Module 1:
The exam takes place only through the final exam which ensure the acquisition of knowledge and skills expected by conducting a written exam lasting 1 hour without the aid of notes or books. The written test consists of 2 exercises in farm business and 15 question multiple choice.
To have the exam is required the registration via web site, in compliance with the deadlines. Those who do not succeed to enroll by the due date, they are required to promptly notify the professor (and before the closing of the subscription lists).
