Learning outcomes
The course will deepen the knowledge on the functioning of the cognitive system of athletes. In particular, it will explore how the expertise gained by the athletes have enhanced and changed some cognitive abilities such as attention, motor anticipation and perception of objects and movement.
Course contents
The coirse will be provided students with the basic knowledge of how the athlete acquires, stores and retrieves information, learns new knowledge, makes decisions, changes her/his own attentional style within the environment. In particular we will analyze the mechanisms of learning and memory associated with movements.
