Learning outcomes

Basic analog circuit analysis and design, including fundamentals of the lumped circuit abstraction.

Course contents

Linear and non linear bipoles and two-ports. Biasing of electronic circuits. Small -signal behavior of the bipolar transistor with and without parasitic effects. Network functions of two-port circuits. Common-emitter, common-base, common-collector and cascode amplifiers. Differential amplifier. Output stages: basic analysis. Schematic diagram of a three-stage bipolar opamp. The ideal opamp and its applications. Stability of electronic circuits.
