Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the student will have acquired a basic knowledge of the linguistic foundations and structures of ancient Greek, also diachronically, which will allow him to understand a Greek text or document.
Course contents
1. Reading and translation of Lysias, Against Agoratus.
2. Basic notions of phonetics, morphology and syntax.
3. Reading of Sekundärliteratur.Beginning of the course: 10 November 2014.
Time and place: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 3-5 p m, Dipartimento di Filologia Classica e Italianistica, via Zamboni 32, 3rd floor (Monday and Wednesday: Aula Mansarda; Friday: Sala Pasoli).

Lectures will be interactive and based on continuous exchanges between lecturer and students.
Assessment methods
Assessment for this course consists of an oral examination, during which the student's deep understanding of Lysias' oration and its historical context, supported by solid linguistic skills (grammar and vocabulary), will be ascertained.
