The student will become acquainted with many literary texts  and with their historical and social  background.

Course contents

Homer, Odyssey.
a) 30 h. (6cfu): Homeric question, framework and importance of the poem in ancient and modern world.
b) 30h. (6cfu): close examinations on Greek texts

Oral exam (with test of translation only for 12cfu).
It is required a close, critical investigation of the texts examined at lesson and of those proposed.
