Learning outcomes

The Course is aimed to illustrate: i) instruments and techniques applied to the field of microscopic research, ii) theoretical considerations on the different classes of microscopes (optical, electron, analytical and probe-based), iii) general and specific techniques applied to Cytopathology and Ultrastructural Pathology.

Analytical microscopy. 10 X ray microanalysis Examples of biological applications 11. EELS/EFTEM - Examples of biological applications 12. Immunogold labeling. 13. Cryoelectron microscopy. 14. New microscopies. Tomography. Enviromental SEM and Scanning Probe Microscopes (AFM/STM/SNOM)
