Learning outcomes
The course is designed to survey the functional anatomy of the brain and spinal cord, emphasizing the connections and functions of principal neural systems (sensory, motor and higher cognitive function systems)
Course contents
Topographical neuroanatomy of the:
Cerebral hemispheres
Diencephalon
Brain stem (midbrain, pons, medulla) and the cerebellum
Spinal cord
Localization of relevant neural (cortical and subcortical) structures in horizontal, sagittal, and coronal sections of the brain, and in MRI and CT scans
Ventricles and arterial supply of the brain
Readings/Bibliography
