Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students should: have knowledge of the main elements (terminology, concepts and methods) for the analysis of structure, function and textual organisation of Spanish language; be able to understand, analyse and write texts of different type; express themselves spontaneously and fluently.
Course contents
IMPORTANT NOTICE
On the 23 June 2010 the professors and researchers of the
faculty's governing body unanimously approved a motion in protest
at the measures regarding the state university system instituted by
the D.D.L. 1905 (Gelmini Law) and by the 2010 Budget plan.
Consequently the course described here could be affected by
industrial action should the Gelmini Law be approved in its current

Lessons are to be held on both terms:
The first part is aimed at strengthening and learning writing
techniques.
The second part is mainly focused on the analysis and
commentary of textual genres.

Assessment methods
The final examination aims to test theoretical contents as well as the linguistic abilities. It consists of a written exam (on the course contents) and an oral exam (on the topics of the course programme and on the obligatory readings).
