19088 - Structures and Statics for Architecture

Academic Year 2010/2011

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Cesena
  • Corso: Single cycle degree programme (LMCU) in Architecture (cod. 0881)

Learning outcomes

Introduction of the basic concepts of Statics and Kinematics applied to rigid bodies. Fundamental aspects of Structural Analysis are introduced. Solutions for simple determinate plane structures are provided. Some specific topics related to masonry structures are investigated, such as arches, vaults, columns, walls. The structural and historical aspects of these elements are presented.

Course contents
